Cambodia Acid Violence Healthcare Initiative 2006/2007
Virtue Foundation deploys medical team and supplies to Cambodia for treatment of acid violence victims and training of local physicians In response to the increasingly grave problem of acid violence in Cambodia, Virtue Foundation has deployed several teams of physicians to Phnom Penh over the past three years to treat burned and disfigured victims of these attacks and train local physicians in the latest surgical techniques. "Stolen Faces," a documentary narrated by Liev Schreiber, chronicles the team's activities and tells the story of a Cambodian mother and her baby, who were flown to the U.S. for treatment from a team of volunteer surgeons at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. ---
